Terms of Service

1. Service Description

AI-Signed provides a trust verification service for websites. We perform automated scans across multiple trust categories and generate a trust score and badge that can be displayed on your website and accessed by AI agents.

2. Account & Subscription

You must be at least 18 years old or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction to create an account and use this service.

You must create an account and maintain an active subscription ($5.99/month) to use the service. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and API keys. Subscription payments are processed through Stripe and also serve as a form of identity verification.

3. Domain Verification

You may only register domains that you own or are authorized to manage. Domain ownership is verified through DNS TXT records. Attempting to verify domains you do not control is prohibited and may result in account termination.

4. Trust Scores & Badges

Trust scores are calculated algorithmically based on automated checks and are provided as-is. AI-Signed does not guarantee the accuracy of any individual check. Scores may change over time as we update our scanning methodology. Badge display is contingent on maintaining an active subscription and verified domain.

5. API Usage

API access is provided for programmatic integration. You must not abuse the API with excessive requests or use it in a manner that degrades service for other users. We reserve the right to rate-limit or suspend API access if abuse is detected.

6. Prohibited Use

You agree not to:

• Register domains you do not own or control
• Attempt to manipulate or falsify trust scores
• Use the service for fraudulent purposes
• Reverse engineer or scrape the service
• Resell or redistribute the service without authorization

7. Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time through the billing portal. Upon cancellation, your badges will be deactivated at the end of the current billing period. Your account data will be retained for 30 days after cancellation, after which it will be permanently deleted. You may request immediate deletion by contacting us.

8. Refunds

Subscription fees are non-refundable. If you cancel your subscription, you retain access until the end of the current billing period. No prorated refunds are issued for partial billing periods. If you believe you were charged in error, contact [email protected] within 30 days.

9. Intellectual Property

All trust scores, badge designs, scanning methodology, and API output formats are the intellectual property of AI-Signed. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive license to display your trust badge on websites you own while your subscription is active. You may not reproduce, modify, or redistribute AI-Signed badges, scores, or branding without authorization.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless AI-Signed, its officers, and employees from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the service, your violation of these terms, or your infringement of any third-party rights.

11. Limitation of Liability

AI-Signed is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any damages arising from the use of our service, including but not limited to reliance on trust scores or badge display. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid in the 12 months preceding any claim.

12. Modifications to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of the service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. If you do not agree to the changes, you may cancel your subscription before the effective date.

13. Governing Law and Disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of laws provisions. Any disputes arising from these terms or the service will be resolved through binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in any court of competent jurisdiction. You agree to waive any right to participate in a class action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration.

14. Severability

If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.

15. Force Majeure

AI-Signed will not be liable for any failure or delay in performance due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, acts of government, internet outages, or third-party service failures.
