Refund Policy

Overview

AI-Signed is a subscription-based trust verification service operated by GIGDATA LLC. Because you receive immediate access to trust scanning, badge generation, and API features upon subscribing, all subscription fees are generally non-refundable. However, we want every customer to feel fairly treated — this policy describes the specific circumstances under which we will issue refunds or credits.

1. Monthly Subscriptions

Monthly subscription fees are non-refundable. When you cancel a monthly subscription, you retain full access to all paid features — including your trust badge, verification pages, and API access — until the end of the current billing period. No prorated refunds are issued for unused days within a billing cycle.

2. Annual Subscriptions

If you purchased an annual subscription and wish to cancel, you may request a prorated refund for the unused full months remaining on your plan, provided:

  • You submit the refund request within the first 6 months of the annual term
  • Your account is in good standing (no Terms of Service violations)
  • You have not previously received a refund on the same account

The refund amount is calculated based on the number of unused full months remaining, minus any applicable discount you received for choosing annual billing. Partial months are not refunded. After 6 months into an annual term, the subscription is considered fully earned and no refund will be issued.

3. Plan Upgrades

When you upgrade from Verified to Verified Business, Stripe prorates the charge based on the remaining time in your current billing cycle. If you downgrade after upgrading, no refund is issued for the difference — the downgrade takes effect at the start of the next billing cycle.

4. Duplicate or Erroneous Charges

If you were charged twice for the same billing period, charged after a successful cancellation, or charged an incorrect amount, contact us within 30 days and we will issue a full refund for the erroneous charge. Please include your account email and the date(s) of the charge(s) in your request.

5. Service Outages

If AI-Signed experiences a prolonged, unscheduled service outage lasting more than 72 consecutive hours that prevents you from accessing your trust badge, scan results, or API, you may request a billing credit equal to the prorated value of the downtime. Credits are applied to your next billing cycle and are not redeemable for cash.

6. Shopify App Purchases

If your AI-Signed subscription was purchased through the Shopify App Store, refunds are subject to Shopify's billing and refund policies. Please contact Shopify support for charges processed through their platform. For subscriptions billed directly through our website, this policy applies.

7. Account Termination by AI-Signed

If your account is terminated by AI-Signed due to a violation of our Terms of Service, including but not limited to domain fraud, badge misrepresentation, or API abuse, no refund will be issued. Any remaining balance on an annual plan is forfeited upon termination for cause.

8. Free Scan and Free Features

The free trust scan does not involve any payment and is therefore not eligible for refunds. If you believe the free scan results were used to mislead you into a paid subscription, contact us and we will review your case.

9. Chargebacks

We encourage you to contact us directly before initiating a chargeback with your bank or credit card company. Filing a chargeback without first contacting us may result in your account being suspended and will delay resolution. If you have a legitimate billing concern, we will work with you to resolve it promptly.

10. How to Request a Refund

To request a refund or billing credit, email billing@ai-signed.com with the following information:

  • The email address associated with your account
  • The date(s) of the charge(s) in question
  • The reason for the refund request
  • Your Stripe receipt or transaction ID (if available)

We will acknowledge your request within 2 business days and process approved refunds within 5–10 business days. Refunds are issued to the original payment method used for the transaction.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this refund policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Material changes will be communicated by email at least 14 days before they take effect. The refund policy in effect at the time of your purchase applies to that transaction.
